  Hard Rock Cancun - Do Not Stay There
  
  If I could give them a negative number, I would.
  I traveled on vacation to Cancun from August 2-6, 2017. I stayed at the Unico 2087 resort. The resort suggested that we visit the Hard Rock resort on Saturday August 5th so we could see their nightclub. When we arrived all eight ( 4 couples) of us were told that we had to give them our ID cards and that they would give them back to us when we left. Being in a foreign country we felt uncomfortable giving up our ID cards. We asked if they could just take photocopies of the ID cards. They forced us to give them the cards. There was another van containing ten people that left our resort at the same time. They were behind us in line. When they went to the counter they showed their IDs and were given back their ID cards. The difference was they were all white and we were all black. They couldn't explain why they treated us differently so we demanded our IDs back. They gave them back. I have never been so insulted and offended in my life. My travel agent wanted us to go over there to see if we like it so she could book us reservations at that resort. I will never stay at that racist hotel chain. I can't believe you guys are so blatant in your racism. I will definitely spread the word to all of my friends. All we wanted to do was have a nice date night. We are all Navy veterans who still serve our country as Civilians.
